Made with shrimp and seasoned with sugar, garlic, onion and spices, this sweet variety balances the characteristic salty seafood flavour of bagoong with a milder sweetness. Its concentrated umami flavour makes it an excellent accompaniment to rice, vegetables, meat dishes and traditional Filipino recipes.
