Mama Sita's Caldereta Mix is a convenient Filipino seasoning blend for preparing Caldereta (Kaldereta), the rich and savoury Filipino meat stew traditionally served with vegetables.
Made with tomato powder, paprika, garlic, chilli, oregano, bay leaf and rosemary, this seasoning creates the distinctive tomato-based, mildly spicy flavour of authentic Filipino Caldereta without having to blend the spices from scratch.
Perfect for Beef Caldereta, but it can also be used with pork, chicken or lamb. Add potatoes, carrots, bell peppers, green peas and olives for a hearty Filipino meal that's perfect served with steamed rice.
One 50g sachet is suitable for preparing approximately 1kg of meat.
