Ajinomoto Monosodium Glutamate (MSG), also known as Aji-No-Moto, is a classic umami seasoning used to enhance the savoury flavour of a wide variety of dishes.
MSG provides umami, one of the five basic tastes alongside sweet, sour, salty and bitter. A small amount can help bring out and balance the natural savoury flavours of meat, fish, vegetables, soups, noodles and sauces.
Ajinomoto MSG is especially useful for Filipino, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai and other Asian cuisines. Add a small amount during cooking to soups, stews, stir-fries, fried rice, marinades and noodle dishes.
